At Rocky Mountain Psychological Services, our work is grounded in the themes we speak about every day: emotional connection, regulation, developmental understanding, and the belief that behaviour always has meaning.
Founded in 1996, Rocky Mountain Psychological Services has been committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based psychological care for nearly three decades. Our work is grounded in the belief that changing perspectives drives behavioural, and that meaningful support begins with truly listening to each individual and family we serve.
Across our writing and clinical work, we consistently return to one core idea: mental health is not about “fixing” people. It is about understanding them.
We support children, adolescents, adults, and families by helping them make sense of behaviour, emotions, attention, learning differences, and relationship dynamics. Whether through comprehensive assessment or therapy, our goal is to provide clarity, reduce overwhelm, and strengthen emotional resilience.
Founded in 1996, RMPS Psychological Services has remained committed to one central belief: true healing begins when self-awareness is paired with the right tools for growth.
We believe that changing perspectives and psychological understanding is powerful, but insight alone is not enough. Our mission is to help individuals and families translate that understanding into practical, everyday strength. By bridging the gap between behaviour and understanding why that behaviour makes sense or changing the way a person understands what is happening, we empower our clients to navigate life’s ups and downs with greater clarity and confidence.
Through comprehensive assessment, thoughtful therapy, and collaborative support, we provide the guidance and resources necessary to turn the current situation into forward movement. Whether the work involves gaining new perspective, developing skills, processing past experiences, or strengthening resilience, our goal is the same: lasting emotional well-being grounded in both insight and action.
Together, we ensure that each journey of self-discovery becomes a foundation for long-term emotional resilience, stability, and growth.
Our vision is to be a trusted source of clarity and psychological insight for individuals and families across the lifespan.
We are dedicated to supporting meaningful growth by helping people navigate life’s most complex emotional and developmental challenges with confidence. We envision a community where mental health care goes beyond symptom management, where psychological barriers are understood, practical strategies are accessible, and emotional well-being is prioritized as a foundation for long-term resilience.
By offering thoughtful assessment, actionable guidance, and developmentally informed support, we aim to help individuals cultivate clearer perspective, stronger coping abilities, and a more balanced approach to daily life. Every recommendation, resource, and therapeutic intervention is designed to serve as a stepping stone toward greater self-understanding and empowerment.
Ultimately, our vision is to help individuals and families move beyond confusion and overwhelm, clearing the mental fog so that resilience, confidence, and true potential can emerge with strength and stability.

From children forgetting homework to adults constantly playing catch-up, executive functioning challenges require structured support. We provide strategies that reduce cognitive overload and increase confidence.

ADHD, anxiety, learning differences, and relational challenges do not disappear with age. We work with children, teens, and adults to provide developmentally appropriate care at every stage.

Mental health does not exist in isolation. Our work consistently centers around emotional connection within families, partnerships, and caregiving relationships.

Rather than asking, “How do we stop this?” we ask, “What is this behaviour protecting, expressing, or solving?” This shift creates space for compassion and effective intervention.

Emotions are not problems to eliminate, they are signals to understand. We help individuals and families make sense of what is happening beneath the surface by developing insight, gaining perspective, and processing experiences in a safe and supportive space.

At times, growth involves strengthening regulation and coping skills. At other times, it means learning new strategies, developing flexibility, improving problem-solving, seeing the issue from a different perspective, or building resilience. Our work is tailored to what each individual needs, not limited to one framework, but guided by thoughtful, comprehensive care.
Our assessments provide clarity around attention, learning profiles, emotional functioning, developmental differences, and behavioural concerns. We go beyond diagnosis to deliver practical recommendations that translate into everyday life.
We provide therapy that integrates emotional regulation, executive functioning support, trauma-informed care, and relational work. Sessions are structured yet compassionate, balancing accountability with understanding. Because words and talking are not the best way to work with everyone, we have a variety of ways we can meet people where they’re at – we do traditional talk therapy and we have clinicians trained in play therapy and expressive arts therapy as well as neurofeedback therapy to meet your needs.
Caregivers are central to change. We guide parents in responding to emotional needs rather than reacting only to behaviour, strengthening both confidence and connection at home.

Emotional safety is the foundation for growth.

Assessment and therapy begin with curiosity, not assumption.

Executive functioning and behavioural challenges deserve support, not criticism.

When individuals understand how their brain and emotions work, they can move forward with intention.
At RMPS Psychological Services, we are committed to translating psychological science into practical, compassionate care.
The conversations we share publicly reflect the work we do privately: helping families move from frustration to understanding, from conflict to connection, and from confusion to clarity.
